The Docomomo International Specialist Committee on Interior Design (ISC/ID) and Docomomo Portugal are pleased to invite you for the Conference Modernist women interior designers and artists: to deepen the reading of the different expressions of female creativity. The conference will be held in Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, on March 7 and 8, 2024, in celebration of the International Women's Day. On March 9, the program will include a guided tour of the MUDE (Museum of Design and Fashion) in Lisbon and the Museum of Casa das Histórias Paula Rego in Cascais.
The main objective of this conference is to provide a platform for in-depth discussions, dissemination, and the exchange of ongoing research within the Docomomo ISC/ID, with a specific focus on the perspective of female creativity.
The conference will also offer a valuable opportunity to share ongoing research within the field with Docomomo International, fellow researchers, and the wider public.
The members of the organizing committee will act as keynote lecturers during the conference, while an open call for papers invited proposals for an additional papers aligning with the conference theme.
A publication will be edited to encompass all the presentations, with the aim of facilitating the international dissemination of the knowledge shared in Lisbon.
